Bio Sketch


Dr. Burke earned a BA in Physics from the University of Rochester, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from there as well, with a subinternship in pathology. He went on to Duke University Medical Center, where he completed his internship in surgery, residency in anesthesia and fellowship in cardiac anesthesia and pain management.

He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is board certified in pain medicine as well, which is cosponsored by the American Board of Anesthesiology, American Board of Family Medicine, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Burke scored in the top 1% on the anesthesiology recertification exam.

Dr. Burke worked at the Munson Medical Pain Clinic in Traverse City from 1994-2022, where he also served as Medical Director.

In his free time, Dr. Burke enjoys spending time with his family and the outdoors.
