Bio Sketch


Dr. Santa Ana is a Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician (PM&R), and a Fellow of the American Academy Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

He completed his Undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Food Science at Wayne State University, and his medical degree at The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He joined the US Army and completed his specialty training in PM&R at The Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. He continued to serve as an Army physician as the Chief of PM&R at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA providing Musculoskeletal Sports and Spine care to active duty service members and veterans.

In 2011, he completed a deployment in Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn. At the end of his commitment in 2013, he was honorably discharged with a rank of Major.

He completed an Interventional Spine Fellowship at Michigan Neurology Associates, PC. He continues to deliver a high level of care to the patients in the community, with a goal to getting them back to function.
